Soul of the Junction SCIO is committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices in everything we do. We recognise the role community organisations play in responding to the climate and nature emergency and are committed to reducing our environmental impact while building climate-resilient, future-ready community spaces.

2. Scope of the policy

This policy applies to:

  • Trustees

  • Volunteers and staff

  • Contractors and suppliers

  • Partners and participants

It covers all areas of our work, including:

  • Community hall operation and renovation

  • Events, activities and workshops

  • Outdoor spaces and community garden projects

  • Procurement and supplier choices

  • Travel, waste and energy use

3. Our environmental principles

Environmental sustainability is a core part of our hall renovation and modernisation programme.
